If you have never experienced this type of regret and contrition for your sins with God, you may likely be one of those Christians that Jesus is talking about in Matthew 7:21-23 when he said: “I never knew you.”

For decades the word of God has been perverted from the pulpits of the Christian church. In the process, many of those would call themselves Christians no longer understand what real repentance is all about. This type of repentance comes from within your heart and involves new behavior. The kind of behavior that is more acceptable to God than your sinful behavior.

Real repentance occurs when a person gives him or herself to God and they immediately stop stealing, promiscuity, lesbianism, homosexuality, etc. Name the sin that enslaves you and keeps you out of fellowship with God.
