While this book is God’s message specifically aimed at Christians, people of all faiths will benefit from God’s message in this book. The message originates in the words of Jesus. In Matthew, Jesus tells some Christians: “I never knew you!”
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of my FATHER in Heaven. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!’ ” Matthew 7:21-23
Exactly whom is Jesus referring to? It is Christians. How do we know that? It is simple, by the words spoken in protest at Jesus’ eternal judgment.
“Have we not prophesied in your name Jesus?”
“Have we not cast out demons in your name Jesus?”
“Have we not done many wonders in your name Jesus?”
Ask yourself this question. Would a non-believer be doing these types of things? I.E. Would a non-believer (non-Christian) lay hands on the sick and say: “In the name of Jesus be healed?” Now think about these questions. Does it not require a very bold Christian to prophesy? Does it not require a very bold Christian to cast out demons? How about doing many wonders? I was a Christian for almost twenty years before I got bold enough to lay hands on the sick for healing. The simple facts from Jesus’ words are that we are not talking about some newborn Christians.
